Colorado Permanente Medical group is seeking a full-time board certified or board eligible Obgyn Physician for a hospitalist role participating in primarily inpatient care of obstetric and gynecologic patients at any of our affiliated hospitals in the North, Central and Denver Metro regions with the north Denver region having the most need.
This position includes inpatient L & D and Gyn call with a post call day off. Additional responsibilities include support of outpatient consultations and virtual nursing, and selected outpatient and inpatient gynecologic surgeries. Surgeries are performed at the hospital and at the Kaiser Ambulatory surgery centers or minor procedure rooms. The Obgyn department is comprised of a great team of 50 plus generalists, MFM, UroGyn and Gyn Onc physicians.

The physician manages the full scope of obstetrical and gynecologic patients primarily in the hospital setting. Approximately 60% of the hospital responsibility will be as the primary obstetric care provider, and the remaining as the gynecologic care provider. The physician must maintain a level of knowledge and perform the essential diagnostic procedures that allow him/her to serve as a consultant to physicians who are non-obstetrician-gynecologists in the Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG) and in the hospital setting. They must also be comfortable with seeing patients in the clinic when needed.
Essential Functions
The physician cares for obstetric patients in the antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum periods. They must also be comfortable with outpatient care of OB patients as needed on an ad hoc basis.
Job Requirements
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency
Board Certification or Board Eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Maintenance of hospital privileges at contract facilities
