The Salisbury VA Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and dedicated full-time Allergist to join our team as Section Chief. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about supervising allergy/immunology clinics and overseeing providers who treat a diverse veteran population with complex allergic and immunologic conditions, all within an interdisciplinary environment. This role offers the opportunity to engage in teaching and establish academic affiliations with partner institutions, including collaborative efforts with Infectious Disease and Allergy/Immunology fellowship programs. Additionally, leadership opportunities include participation in the VISN6 Community of Practice committee and national involvement with the VA National Allergy Consortium and the Allergy Field Advisory Board.
This position will manage operations across three sites: Salisbury, Kernersville, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Responsibilities encompass both clinical and administrative duties, ensuring the clinical allergist staff delivers high-quality care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Benefits
Salary: $285,000-$295,000
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Requirements
U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty.
Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Allergy and Immunology.
The W.G. Hefner VAMC is a 484-bed medical center located in Salisbury, North Carolina. Inpatient services are provided for acute medicine, cardiology, surgery, psychiatry, physical rehabilitation, subacute and extended care, neuropsychiatry services, psychiatric intensive care, and geropsychiatry. Primary and specialized outpatient services are provided at the medical center and outpatient clinics. The medical center is affiliated with Wake Forest University School of Medicine, with a focus on resident involvement in primary care, dermatology, rehabilitation, ophthalmology, and psychiatry.
