Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution, and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Section Chief of Electrophysiology.
The Section Chief will provide leadership and oversight of all operational and programmatic aspects of Electrophysiology at Rush’s downtown location and Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), including expertise in complex ablations and device implantation, along with Skills in LAAO implantation and/or lead extraction. Candidates must have an outstanding record of commitment to clinical service, research, and substantial administrative experience. In addition, candidates must be board certified and formal fellowship trained in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, currently at the Associate Professor level or higher and possess a commitment to innovation in the field and the leadership skills necessary for faculty development and the advancement of clinical and academic missions. The division has a highly supportive atmosphere with an approved plan for substantial growth in the coming years.

Comprehensive care for treating and preventing heart disease includes General cardiology services, Chicago’s first dedicated center for women’s heart care, early detection and screening programs including a preventative/lipid program, advanced techniques in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery including a renowned ECMO and LVAD program, a state-of-the-art interventional cardiology program including cutting-edge structural interventions, comprehensive electrophysiology with arrhythmia and device services, adult congenital heart disease, cardio-oncology, cardio-nutrition, cardiometabolic clinic, cardio-rheumatology, Amyloid program, cardiac rehabilitation, and specialized treatment and follow-up care for people at all stages of heart failure and its complications and clinical research, evaluating new medicines, devices and procedures in heart care. Rush heart patients benefit from the availability of the most advanced diagnostic techniques in heart care today.
Pay Range: $530,000 - $729,000
