Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine physician to provide high-quality coverage at Pomeroy, OH. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering timely and effective emergency care in a challenging yet rewarding setting. Required Skills:

• Valid and unrestricted medical license in Ohio or the ability to obtain one promptly
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine (ABMS or AOA)
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS certification
• Proven experience managing a busy emergency department with excellent clinical judgment
• Strong documentation skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in rural or community hospital settings
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Experience with trauma and critical care protocols

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Minimum 2 years of emergency medicine practice experience
• Prior locum or temporary clinical work is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and extended shifts as needed
• Ability to start as soon as credentialed (anticipated 45-60 days)
• Travel expenses to be arranged and booked through OVP; no overtime (OT) compensation is provided
• Physician must manage his/her own documentation and be comfortable working in facilities without trauma designation, with transfers coordinated as necessary
