Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Emergency Medicine physician to cover night shifts and weekends at Gallipolis's busy emergency department. This position is vital to ensuring seamless patient care during peak hours, with a collaborative team that includes advanced practice providers and specialists. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a hospital committed to delivering efficient, high-quality emergency services to the community.

Required Skills:

• Valid medical license and current DEA registration.
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically All Scripts/Paragon.
• Previous experience working in rural or community hospital settings.
• Knowledge of trauma protocols and transfer procedures.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of post-residency emergency medicine practice.
• Proven ability to manage a diverse patient caseload independently.

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start as soon as credentialed (anticipated 45-60 days).
• Availability for a minimum of 5 shifts per month, preferably 8-10 shifts.
• Shifts are 8 PM to 8 AM.
• Must have all necessary certifications, including ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
• Travel arrangements must be coordinated through OVP; no overtime is authorized.
• Physician must oversee advanced practice providers and write orders for admissions; no bill rate information provided.
