Required Skills:

• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
• Valid medical license for North Dakota
• Proficiency in neonatal resuscitation, intubation, UVC placement, lumbar punctures, and circumcisions
• Experience managing pediatric patients and newborn care
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently during on-call hours
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in critical access or rural hospital settings
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
• Knowledge of Level II nursery operations
• Experience with labor and delivery support and procedures
• Skilled in emergent neonatal interventions

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric practice, especially in hospital or nursery settings
• Pediatric residency or fellowship completion preferred
• Prior locum or temporary staffing experience in hospital environments

Other Requirements:

• Availability for 7 scheduled days per month, including 24-hour call coverage
• Ability to attend scheduled shifts from November 21–28 and December 17–23, 2025, with ongoing coverage in 2026
• Willingness to travel to Dickinson, ND, with preferred lodging arrangements; travel from your location must be specified
• Credentialing with facilities, including temporary emergency privileges beginning in November
• Must meet facility-specific credentialing and billing enrollment requirements
• Support staff includes nursing teams, anesthesiologists, OB/GYNs, respiratory therapists, local pediatricians, and NICU consultation via Bismarck
