Locum - Physician - General Medicine Houston, TX

Join our team as a Locum Physician in General Medicine in Houston, TX and make a vital impact by providing essential healthcare services to Veterans across the country. As a key provider, you'll perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, contributing to meaningful Veteran care without the need for ongoing treatment or prescribing.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Medical license valid in Texas
• Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
• Ability to conduct interview-based exams with physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent report-writing abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience with Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams or Veterans' healthcare
• Familiarity with medical documentation and diagnostic reading
• Certification in medical assessments or relevant specialties

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree with active state licensure
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general or internal medicine
• Prior experience working with government or Veterans' healthcare programs is advantageous

Other Requirements:

• Own office location in Houston, TX, or nearby with flexibility for travel to exam sites
• Ability to perform exams on a PRN basis, with options for half or full days
• Complete required training and onboarding promptly, with bonus eligibility
• Willingness to undertake administrative follow-up, including report submissions and addendums
