Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid state medical license or the ability to obtain licensure in Texas.
- Proven experience in obstetric hospitalist services, including managing deliveries, emergency obstetric cases, and postpartum care.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with medical teams and patients.
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations efficiently.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Previous locum or hospitalist experience.
- Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, to serve diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with high-risk obstetrics.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in inpatient obstetric care.
- Prior experience working within hospitalist or locum tenens roles is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Must hold and maintain valid licensure and certifications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing education and compliance training.
