Take this opportunity to join our highly respected Division of Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at MHS and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). Primary clinical responsibilities encompass ambulatory management of musculoskeletal conditions, including sports and acute musculoskeletal injuries, as well as ultrasound guided procedures and sideline sports coverage. Academic responsibilities include education and training of PM&R residents and CWRU medical students. BC/BE in PM&R is required along with fellowship training in Sports Medicine. Protected administrative and research time are available for qualified candidates. Academic appointments in PM&R and Orthopedics will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Academically affiliated with the renowned Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine, The MHS includes a 550-bed academic medical center and is a Level I Trauma and Burn Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Magnet® certified for nursing excellence. ACGME training programs include PM&R residency as well as Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury and Pain Medicine fellowships. As a Rehabilitation Innovation Center, the MetroHealth Center for Rehabilitation Research (MCRR) is designated by The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as a facility leading the nation in innovative care and research. MCRR conducts cutting-edge research in neuromodulation and has over $92 million in extramural research funding. The department of PM&R is one of the top recipients of NIH funding among departments of PM&R in US Medical Schools and is designated as a Dr. Joanne Sloane Rehabilitation Innovation Center by CMS.
