Ortho Trauma Surgeon

NorthBay Health is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic and growing surgical team in Northern California. As part of NorthBay’s Orthopedic and Trauma Services, the Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon plays a key role in providing advanced, comprehensive care for patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries and complex fractures.

Located between the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa Valley, and Sacramento, NorthBay Health offers providers the opportunity to practice advanced medicine in a region rich in culture, natural beauty, and recreational opportunities.

Position Highlights

  • Provide full-spectrum orthopedic trauma care, including operative and non-operative fracture management.
  • Participate in trauma call coverage and collaborate with emergency medicine and hospitalist teams to provide timely consultations and interventions.
  • Manage inpatient orthopedic trauma cases and perform outpatient follow-up care.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary trauma team to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in service line development, quality initiatives, and peer review activities.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency.
  • Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery required.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS or AOBOS).
  • Active California medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of recent orthopedic trauma experience, or completion of a fellowship with advanced exposure to complex fracture care.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; ATLS preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Full-time, 1.0 FTE position.
  • Income guarantee: $667,182 (first two years for qualified W-2 applicants).
  • Sign-on bonus: Up to $40,000 for qualified applicants.
  • Relocation assistance: Up to $20,000 for qualified applicants.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and CME support.
