Lead Primary Care Physician Pittsburgh

Our members have often been underserved by traditional healthcare—frequently cycling through ERs, hospitals, and specialists. We break the status quo with whole-person, team-based care that improves quality of life and outcomes while reducing unnecessary utilization. Care is delivered by an integrated team of primary care providers, complex care managers, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health clinicians, and community health workers—with onsite infusion, full pharmacy, and lab & imaging suites. We also address social determinants of health, tackling housing instability, food insecurity, and social isolation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent primary care to a panel of members and lead your interdisciplinary care team.
• Coach and mentor physicians and APPs on best practices in primary, urgent, and community care.
• Partner with the Medical Director to guide nurses, MAs, and providers on clinical cases.
• Drive market performance for quality, utilization, and engagement; represent AbsoluteCare with community organizations and payer partners.
• Deliver transitional and urgent care, including same-/next-day visits post-discharge to prevent avoidable admissions.
• Practice evidence-based medicine within the PCMH model; leverage EHR for quality initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotation and leadership meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of employment.
• 5+ years of clinical experience and administrative leadership of interdisciplinary teams.
• Experience in clinic, community-based organizations, and inpatient settings.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; passion for population health and care model innovation.
