Physician at Austin State Supported Living Center

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Physician to join our team at the Austin State Supported Living Center. As a Staff Physician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing and treating individuals with complex medical, psychiatric, and behavioral health needs
  • Developing and monitoring health care plans with measurable goals
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and families to advocate for the medical needs of individuals
  • Providing acute and chronic care, including prescribing medications and performing medical procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with medical standards and regulations

In addition to providing medical care, you will participate in treatment team processes, contribute to individualized care plans, and support the overall well-being of our residents. Your expertise and leadership will be essential in addressing complex medical issues and ensuring the delivery of integrated medical services.

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Knowledge of general medicine practices and individualized care plans
  • Experience in practicing medicine and responding to medical emergencies
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • The ability to evaluate patients and implement effective treatment plans
