Seeking Experienced Psychiatrist at Kerrville State Hospital

We are looking for a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Kerrville State Hospital. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in conducting psychiatric assessments, diagnosing, and treating patients while reporting directly to the State Hospital Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer quality specialized psychiatric treatments
  • Review and analyze system data to ensure individualized recovery plans
  • Lead discussions to create buy-in for necessary changes
  • Participate in State Hospital committees and performance improvement activities
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for patient care

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish physician-patient relationships
  • Develop and implement psychiatric recovery plans
  • Collaborate with medical staff for psychiatric interventions
  • Review and monitor system data for quality care
  • Maintain open communication with hospital staff

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
  • Unrestricted Texas medical license and board certification in Psychiatry
  • Minimum three years' experience as a Psychiatrist
