The collegial, professional, and highly-skilled nephrology team at IU Health is seeking a Transplant Nephrologist to join as an academic clinician. IU Health kidney transplant specialists help adult and pediatric patients with end-stage kidney disease through every stage of the transplant experience. We perform a high volume of kidney transplants - from the routine to the most complex. We also have a living kidney donation program for individuals who wish to donate a kidney to someone they know or to someone anonymously. Transplant program highlights: performed kidney transplants for over 50 years at more than 200 transplants per year, comprising 73% of all kidney and kidney/pancreas transplants in the state in 2019.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for nephrology patients that are pre and/or post kidney, pancreas, or liver transplant
- Inpatient rounding, outpatient and outreach clinics
- Faculty appointment with the Indiana University School of Medicine, with expectation to teach residents and fellows and opportunities for research if desired
Position Details:

- Primarily outpatient care based at Academic Health Center with 1-2 outreach clinics per month

Qualifications:
- Completion of Nephrology & Transplant Nephrology fellowships
- BE/BC in Nephrology & Transplant Nephrology
- New graduates and experienced physicians encouraged to apply
