Thoracic Surgery

    • Vascular procedures related to cardiothoracic practice preferred but not required

• Midlevel Support:

  The program is supported by six Physician Assistants who first assist in surgery and share call responsibilities matching the MD schedule. PAs and APRNs make hospital rounds and see consults, while three additional APRNs provide clinic coverage Monday through Thursday each week.

• Facility provides a full range of inpatient, surgical, and specialty services, including a high-volume cardiovascular and thoracic surgery program, advanced ICU capabilities, and comprehensive ancillary support. The health facility is a 383-bed acute care hospital with a busy and well-established Cardiothoracic Surgery program. The inpatient census typically ranges between 25 and 40 patients, occasionally reaching up to 50. Each surgeon averages 2–4 cases per day on the OR schedule, Monday through Friday. 

Compensation 

• $5500 24 hour per diem

Qualifications

• Thoracic Surgery Board Certified - ABTS
• BLS, ATLS, ACLS
