• License/Certs: Alabama Optometry License (or able to obtain)

Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (discussed upon application)
• Placement Fee: Approved for $40,000

What You’ll Do:

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and assessments
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and diseases
• Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and medications as needed
• Provide expert guidance on eyewear and contact lens fittings
• Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality patient care
• Participate in routine hospital call (~5 days/month) and procedures such as nexplanon insertion and pessary fitting

What You Need:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
• Valid Alabama Optometry License or the ability to obtain one (expected 2-6 months)
• Strong patient care skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
