Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite emergency medical care covering adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
- Perform a variety of procedures including suturing, laceration repair, incisions & drainage, orthopedic stabilization, and more.
- Interpret EKGs, manage airway ventilation, and establish central or arterial lines as needed.
- Diagnose and manage common industrial-related medical issues and acute volume or blood pressure problems.
- Collaborate with a full support staff including APPs, nurses, technicians, radiology, and laboratory services.
- Utilize Cerner EHR for documentation and patient management.
Required Skills:
- Valid Medical Licensure with Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Proven experience in adult outpatient, pediatric outpatient, and neonatal resuscitation.
- Proficiency in procedures such as lumbar puncture, arthrocentesis, paracentesis, and ventilation management.
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent technical skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-volume emergency settings.
- Familiarity with EHR systems, specifically Cerner.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with industrial medical problems.
- Skills in advanced airway management.
- Additional certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine or urgent care experience in a hospital setting.
- Prior locum or temporary staffing experience is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work varied shifts, including day, evening, overnight, and holiday coverage.
- Must adhere to all McLaren/AHSA travel and reimbursement policies; flights are not provided.
- Must clock in/out using DocTime, as site uses reverse billing.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of $400/hour, with an opportunity to earn up to $400/hour.
- Orientation and training paid at half the hourly rate.
- Weekly pay via direct deposit.
