Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Locum OB Hospitalist to provide high-quality obstetric care at a reputable facility in Rockwall, Texas. This role offers the flexibility to work on your schedule while ensuring excellent outcomes for mothers and babies. Required Skills:
- Valid medical license to practice in Texas
- Board-certified or eligible in OB/GYN or Family Medicine with obstetric credentials
- Proven experience managing obstetric emergencies and prenatal care
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team
- Ability to work independently, making timely and accurate clinical decisions
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in a hospitalist role or similar setting
- Ultrasound proficiency
- Bilingual abilities
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of recent inpatient obstetric experience
- Previous locum or temporary staffing experience is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Must obtain privileges from the hospital, which can be expedited for clean files
- Willingness to work flexible hours; some overnight and weekend shifts may be required
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Travel and licensure reimbursement, as applicable
