Required Skills:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Valid medical license to practice in the respective state
• Proven experience in emergency and inpatient surgical procedures
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with outpatient surgical procedures
• Additional certifications such as Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Prior experience working in hospital or emergency settings
• Ability to handle on-call responsibilities independently

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program
• At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in a surgical setting
• Comfortable with weekend call coverage, including ER and inpatient work

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to participate in weekend call shifts, typically from 7 am Friday to 7 am Monday twice a month
• Candidates within driving distance are preferred for on-site availability
• Must possess or be able to obtain necessary state medical licenses and certifications
