Pediatrics - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

Required Skills:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Proven experience managing a Level 3 NICU up to 14 patients
- Strong clinical skills in neonatal stabilization, resuscitation, and specialized neonatal procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and handle a high-acuity patient load effectively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with community hospital NICUs
- Ability to supervise Nurse Practitioners and other support staff
- Familiarity with neonatal transport systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree with valid medical license
- At least 2 years of experience in a neonatal intensive care setting
- Previous locums-to-perm experience is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Availability for 24-hour shifts, including one week per month
- NP supervision required; collaboration with 24-hour NP coverage
- Compensation includes a flat rate covering 8 hours of patient contact, with additional fees for re-entries after initial hours
- Must be available to work one week per month, schedule flexible within specified days
- Valid medical license and appropriate board certifications
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-demand environment
