Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inpatient pediatric cases, with an average of 3-12 admissions per shift.
- Provide comprehensive medical care for pediatric patients, including rounding and follow-up.
- Collaborate with supportive nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Document patient encounters accurately in Meditech EMR.
Required Skills:
- Board Certified in Pediatrics or Board Eligible with certification in progress.
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric inpatient care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, 24-hour call environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Meditech EMR.
- Prior experience in inpatient pediatrics.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not necessary.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric inpatient experience preferred.
- Valid medical license and board certification in Pediatrics.
Other Requirements:
- 24-hour call schedule, with availability starting at 6:30 am.
- Temp privileges granted for the duration of assignment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on hospital needs.
- Must maintain all required certifications and licenses.
