Overview
We are seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide exceptional care in a busy, well-equipped emergency department averaging 15,000 visits annually. This role offers varied shifts, including 12-hour and 24-hour coverage, with workloads expected to grow from approximately 20 patients per day initially to about 40 by year’s end. You will work alongside a dedicated team using state-of-the-art radiology services (CT and X-ray available 24/7), a full-service lab, and surgical support at a nearby Lansing location. Required Skills

• Valid MD or DO license in Michigan
• Board-certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience
• Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Proficiency with ED radiology and lab procedures

Nice to Have Skills

• Prior experience in a similar high-volume emergency setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Minimum of 2 years recent emergency medicine experience
• American Board of Emergency Medicine certification or equivalent

Other Requirements

• Must have current immunizations: Hep B, MMR, Varicella (or immune titers), Flu shot (current season), COVID documentation, TB test within past 12 months, TDAP vaccination within last 10 years
• Must successfully complete orientation (paid at ½ hourly rate)
• Availability for shifts on a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends
• Travel expenses will be covered within specified policies; no third-party lodging bookings or reimbursement for taxes
