Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Required Skills:
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology within 5 years of residency
- Valid active California medical license and DEA certification
- Proficiency in performing ERCP and fluoroscopy procedures
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage complex gastrointestinal cases efficiently
- Flexibility to adapt to varying shift schedules and emergency call requirements
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with advanced endoscopic techniques
- Prior experience in a hospital-based or academic setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in Gastroenterology
- Proven track record in performing ERCP and fluoroscopy procedures
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start on or after May 1, 2026
- Willingness to obtain permanent fluoroscopy licensure within one year of temporary license issuance
- Commitment to hospital privileging processes, which typically take 48-72 hours for approval
- Ability to document current case logs and explain any gaps greater than 3 months in employment
