Are you an experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist looking for a flexible, impactful opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Locum Physician to provide high-quality care at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital of Richmond. This role offers an excellent platform to contribute to patient care during a critical recruitment period, ensuring expectant mothers and high-risk pregnancies receive expert attention.

In this role, you will deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient maternal-fetal services, supporting a dynamic team in a busy clinical environment. Your expertise will help manage complex pregnancies, perform essential procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling, and coordinate care across high-risk cases. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive difference in patients' lives while working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Required Skills:

• Board-certified or eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine or Obstetrics and Gynecology with subspecialty certification
• Proven experience in high-risk pregnancy management
• Skilled in procedures including amniocentesis, CVS, and cerclage (preferred)
• Proficient in EMR systems, specifically EPIC and viewpoint
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with ultrasound interpretation
• Knowledge of genetic counseling and handling co-morbid maternal conditions
• Prior experience working in hospital or outpatient settings with high-risk pregnancies

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Active medical license in Virginia or ability to obtain one
• Minimum of 2 years post-training experience in maternal-fetal medicine or high-risk obstetrics

Other Requirements:

• Participation in nightly weekday call and 24-hour weekend call rotations
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Must possess or be able to obtain BC/BE in maternal-fetal medicine or obstetrics
• Willingness to travel and accommodate varied shift schedules; facility reimburses travel-related expenses (flight, hotel, rental car, mileage)
