Job Description

United Health Services, a four-hospital, integrated health system in Central New York, is expanding. Neurosciences is a signature service line for the health system, especially for stroke and neurosurgical care, and we have identified a need to expand our neurology team due to increased demand.

We are looking to add a Neuro Critical Care physician to join the team in Upstate New York.

Position Highlights: 

- 7 on - 7 off schedule, 24/7 coverage during on week

- Medical/ Surgical/ Neuro ICU with 14 beds, flexed to meet each service's needs. Separate 16-bed cardio-vascular ICU

- Bi-planar angio, Camino ICP monitoring equipment, CSF drainage equipment, cEEG monitoring

- Avg. daily patient census is 8-10

- NeuroICU with 2 fellowship trained neurointensivists

- Close collaboration with neurosurgery and neurointerventional services

- Faculty appointment at SUNY Upstate 

- APC support 

- Epic EMR

UHS Binghamton is a 220-bed facility offering medical, surgical and rehabilitation care and offers an array of programs and services. UHS Wilson Medical Center is a 280-bed teaching hospital with Level II Trauma Center and Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center designation. Currently, they have a Medical/ Surgical/ Neuro ICU with 14 beds, flexed to meet each service's needs and a separate 16-bed cardio-vascular ICU.

Binghamton is a picturesque town in the Southern Tier region of New York near the Susquehanna and Chenango Rivers. Salary Range: $447,763 - $471,400 Annually
