As an Internal Medicine - Neurohospitalist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality neurology services, including telestroke consultations, in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Required Skills:
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurology or Neurohospitalist specialty
- Proven experience in stroke management and neurohospitalist services
- Strong knowledge of telestroke systems and neurodiagnostic procedures
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with comprehensive stroke centers accredited by DNV or equivalent
- Proficiency in EEG and continuous EEG interpretation
- Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and remote consultation tools
- Prior experience in a hospital-based neurology setting
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of neurology residency and fellowship training in stroke or neurohospitalist care
- At least 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in neurology, particularly in stroke or neurohospitalist roles
Other Requirements:
- Valid medical license and board certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, overnight, and weekend shifts
- Willingness to participate in telemedicine call coverage, with responsibilities including telestroke calls, neurology consults, and general neurology coverage
- Travel and licensing reimbursements will be provided where applicable
