Parkview Health is looking for a Board Certified/ Board Eligible General Surgeon to join their well-established practice in Auburn, Indiana.
Specifics of Your Role as a General Surgeon
- This position is full time with a breakdown of:
- 5 days in the clinic
- 5 days in the OR/Endoscopy
- Hours and schedule vary depending on if scheduled in clinic or in surgery
- Call schedule – 1:4 (shared with Parkview Noble, LaGrange, Dekalb & Cameron Memorial Hospital)
The Team
- Our Dekalb group currently consists of 1 physician
- We offer the latest advancements in surgical procedures, and our surgeons are specially trained in a variety of surgical procedures including: Laparoscopic and open procedures, Colonoscopy, Upper endoscopy, Hernia repair, Carpal tunnel, Skin lesions, Ganglion cysts, Gallbladder, Infusaport® Placement/Removal and Robotics.
Parkview Dekalb Hospital
- 375,671 square-foot facility, sitting on a 33-acre campus that includes additional medical office facilities in Auburn, Garrett and Butler
- Beds: 56
- Medical Staff Members: 254 physicians and 56 allied health professionals
- Surgery Center: 40,000 square-foot, four surgical suites; seventeen private outpatient surgery rooms, 8-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for recovery, including two private rooms, dedicated sound isolation, infusions and other ambulatory services, spacious lobbies with amenities for family including two physician consultation suites with x-ray viewing capabilities, a coffee bar and children play area
- Endoscopy Center: three endoscopy suites, and recovery area
- Home to an extensive array of inpatient and outpatient services, including a full-service 24/7 emergency department, walk-in clinic, state-of-the-art surgery center, imaging and laboratory, sleep lab, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, physical, occupational, speech, and sports therapy, and numerous physician clinics
- One of the largest employers in the county with more than 625 co-workers that encompass a dedicated team of medical professionals
