Join Our Team as a Nocturnist and Make a Difference in Critical Care
Are you a dedicated physician seeking a rewarding nocturnal role in a dynamic hospital setting? We invite experienced Nocturnists to provide exceptional overnight inpatient care at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital, a respected Level 3 trauma center with 238 licensed beds. As a vital member of our hospitalist team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality patient outcomes during overnight hours.
What You'll Do:
- Provide comprehensive care for adult patients during 12-hour night shifts (7 pm – 7 am).
- Join a team of two nocturnists managing 8-14 admissions per shift.
- Collaborate with the Rapid Response Team (RRT) to address urgent patient needs.
- Maintain a focus on patient safety and quality care in a closed ICU environment.
Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state medical license.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Proven experience in hospital medicine, particularly in nocturnal settings.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle high-acuity inpatient cases independently.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in a Level 3 trauma setting.
- Familiarity with Rapid Response Teams and code blue management.
- Ability to perform basic bedside procedures (though not required).
Preferred Education and Experience:
- At least 2 years of inpatient hospitalist or nocturnist experience.
- Prior work in busy hospital environments with high patient volume.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work up to 25 shifts per month.
- Must adhere to all state and federal licensing and credentialing standards.
- No travel or procedures required.
