Prime Healthcare is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon to join our expanding team at Saint Joseph Medical Center, a flagship facility delivering high-quality, compassionate care in the southwest Chicago region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, and disorders in both outpatient clinic and inpatient settings.
  • Perform surgical interventions, including general orthopedic procedures, fracture care, joint reconstructions, arthroscopic surgeries, and trauma-related cases (leveraging the hospital's Level I adult trauma center capabilities)
  • Utilize advanced technologies such as minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in call coverage (shared/rotating schedule) for orthopedic trauma and emergency consultations through the ER.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic imaging, and develop individualized treatment plans.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited program
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Eligible for Illinois medical license
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and team collaboration

Pay Transparency:

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $650,000 -$750,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
