Hospital Medicine - Nocturnist - Physician - Syracuse, NY

St. Joseph’s Health is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physicians for a full-time Nocturnist position at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Position Details

• 7-on/7-off schedule, 12-hour shifts (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Closed ICU overnight rounding on Hospitalist patients
• Conducts history & physicals with documentation in EPIC EMR
• Responsible for admissions and overnight inpatient management
• Arranges for necessary follow-up care for patients as needed upon discharge from the Hospital
• Part of a well-established medical center with strong subspecialty support
• Collaborates with colleagues and specialists to manage changes in patient condition

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Eligible for NYS medical license and DEA
• Prior Hospitalist experience preferred but not required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and dedication to team-based care

Recruitment Package

• Starting Bonus: $15,000
• Base Salary: $320,320 per year plus productivity and quality bonuses
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position.
• $4,500 annual CME allowance
