Required Skills

• Board Certification in Rheumatology
• Fellowship training in Rheumatology
• Valid medical license to practice in Michigan
• Experience with joint aspirations and corticosteroid injections
• Proficiency in the Epic EMR system
• Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
• Ability to handle a varied patient load efficiently

Nice to Have Skills

• Prior experience in a hospital-based setting
• Familiarity with Level 2 trauma environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills and team collaboration

Preferred Education and Experience

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Fellowship training in Rheumatology
• Minimum of 2 years practice experience in rheumatology
• Prior locum or hospitalist experience is advantageous

Other Requirements

• Availability to start around February 1, 2026, with credentialing expected within 90-120 days
• Flexibility to work 4×10-hour shifts or 5×8-hour shifts
• Commitment to a 24-hour hospital on-call schedule, Tuesday through Monday, two weeks per month (1:2 ratio)
• Local providers preferred; relocation expenses covered if applicable
• Travel, lodging, and mileage reimbursements available for non-local candidates
