Required Skills:

• Board certification in Hematology and Oncology or pending certification
• Virginia medical license or eligibility for licensure
• DEA license
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in hematology/oncology
• BLS certification
• Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Additional certifications (such as ACLS)
• Experience with EPIC Beacon EMR system
• Prior experience working in hospital outpatient settings
• Familiarity with infusion therapies and palliative care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology
• At least 1 year of post-residency experience in a similar clinical setting

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment with support staff
• Flexibility to provide call coverage every third week, including nights and weekends
• Commitment to patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols (including seasonal flu vaccination)
• Credentialing and privileging can take 60-90 days; temporary privileges may be available

Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate of $507, with additional pay for call duties, overnight shifts, and holidays.
