Hematology/Oncology Physician

Required Skills:
- Board certification in Hematology and Oncology or pending certification
- Virginia medical license or eligibility for licensure
- DEA license
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in hematology/oncology
- BLS certification
- Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
- Additional certifications (such as ACLS)
- Experience with EPIC Beacon EMR system
- Prior experience working in hospital outpatient settings
- Familiarity with infusion therapies and palliative care
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology
- At least 1 year of post-residency experience in a similar clinical setting
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment with support staff
- Flexibility to provide call coverage every third week, including nights and weekends
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols (including seasonal flu vaccination)
- Credentialing and privileging can take 60-90 days; temporary privileges may be available

Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate of $507, with additional pay for call duties, overnight shifts, and holidays.
