Renown Health and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) are seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Radiation Oncologist to join our expanding, well supported Radiation Oncology program within our comprehensive cancer service line.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in gynecologic oncology and brachytherapy, with experience working collaboratively with gynecologic oncology surgery and medical oncology.
This position is part of Nevada’s first integrated academic health system, offering the opportunity to practice high quality, evidence based cancer care while contributing to medical education and academic growth.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Full time, hospital based Radiation Oncology practice serving a diverse and established patient population
Modern radiation therapy program with advanced modalities including IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, LDR and HDR brachytherapy, and access to multidisciplinary oncology services
Collaborative care model with medical oncology, surgical oncology, and many more specialty areas
Strong clinical and operational support from a highly experienced oncology team
Affiliate Faculty Appointment with UNR Med
Teaching opportunities with medical students, residents, and PA students
Participation in a community-based academic training model with ACGME-accredited internal medicine, family medicine, and pediatric residencies
Opportunities to engage in clinical or basic research, cooperative group studies, investigator-initiated trials, quality initiatives, and program development within an integrated academic health system

QUALIFICATIONS
MD or DO
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
Experience in HDR intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy
Eligibility for Nevada medical licensure, state pharmacy licensure, and DEA
Commitment to clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, education, and academic service
