We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Pathologist to play a vital role in conducting autopsies and forensic examinations at Reading Hospital. Required Skills:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- Valid medical license to practice in the designated jurisdiction.
- Proven expertise in forensic autopsies, including house autopsies and coroner cases.
- Strong proficiency in forensic procedures, documentation, and legal standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in forensic pathology with exposure to criminal case investigations.
- Familiarity with autopsy equipment, forensic imaging technologies, and legal reporting.
- Bilingual abilities to assist diverse communities.
- Participation in professional organizations or ongoing forensic education.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- At least 2 years of experience in forensic pathology, preferably with active autopsy practice.
- Previous experience working with legal systems or law enforcement agencies is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to cover specific dates, including 2/5/26-2/19/26, 5/17/26-5/23/26, 6/8/26-6/28/26, and one week in October (dates to be determined).
- Ability to perform procedures at various times, with hours varying based on caseload.
- Willingness to travel or participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Certification in Forensic Pathology from recognized boards is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work with a team dedicated to continuous support, training, and development.
