Pathology - Anatomic and Clinical - Forensic Pathology
Join our esteemed medical team as a Forensic Pathologist specializing in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. This critical role involves performing house and coroner autopsies at Reading Hospital, supporting the justice system and advancing forensic medicine. Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- Valid medical license in the relevant state
- Proven experience in forensic or death investigations
- Strong knowledge of forensic autopsy procedures and toxicology
- Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict confidentiality standards
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in forensic pathology or medicolegal death investigation
- Familiarity with forensic toxicology and histology techniques
- Certification in forensic pathology (e.g., American Board of Pathology certification)
- Experience with court testimony and report writing
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Doctorate in Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Completion of an accredited Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency
- Subspecialty training or fellowship in Forensic Pathology
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in forensic pathology preferred
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel as needed for case investigations and court appearances
- Certification in Forensic Pathology highly preferred
- Must pass background checks and credentialing processes
- Availability for coverage on specified dates and flexibility for varying hours
- Willingness to handle a variable caseload based on forensic case influx
- Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00
