Join our dynamic team as a Locum Physician specializing in Emergency Medicine and play a vital role in providing top-quality urgent care services. This exciting opportunity is ideal for physicians seeking flexible, short-term assignments while contributing to patient safety and care excellence. You will be responsible for managing a varied patient volume in a fast-paced ED environment, supporting McLaren's Float Pool to ensure seamless coverage across multiple shifts.

Key responsibilities include managing approximately 80 patients daily, performing essential emergency procedures such as airway management, suturing, orthopedic interventions, and diagnostic evaluations. You will work collaboratively with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, radiology, and lab teams within a fully supported facility utilizing Cerner EHR. This assignment offers an excellent platform to apply your clinical skills in an environment committed to high-quality care.

Required Skills:

• Active medical license in Michigan or ability to obtain one promptly
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with Emergency Department experience
• Proven proficiency with ER procedures, including airway management, suturing, fracture management, and diagnostic interpretation
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
• Ability to handle a high patient volume efficiently

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working with Cerner EHR system
• Pediatric emergency care experience
• Advanced airway management and ventilation skills
• Prior locum or temporary staffing experience in a busy Emergency Department

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency or urgent care practice experience
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain promptly)

Other Requirements:

• Availability for varied shifts from early morning to overnight, with flexibility for ongoing coverage through June 2026
• Must clock in/out using DocTime as per site protocol
• No travel or lodging arrangements will be made through third-party services; provider must adhere to McLaren/AHSA travel policies
• Malpractice insurance must be included in hourly rates, with orientation compensated at half the hourly rate
• Shift hours range from 0600 to 0000, with holiday and overtime rates applying as specified
