We are currently seeking a highly skilled Locum Physician specializing in Gastroenterology to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role offers a rewarding blend of outpatient clinics, inpatient scopes, and weekend call coverage, all within a supportive professional environment committed to your success.

Required Skills:

• MD or DO degree with valid medical license in Michigan.
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
• Proven experience performing ERCP procedures.
• Excellent clinical judgment and patient management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working with Cerner EMR system.
• Prior hospital-based outpatient and inpatient scope experience.
• Familiarity with hospital’s support staff and onsite resources (labs, X-ray).
• Comfort with electronic documentation and time tracking via DocTime.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Fellowship training in Gastroenterology.
• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient and inpatient GI experience.
• Previous locum or hospital-based practice preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work scheduled dates with flexibility for weekend call.
• Certified in necessary hospital protocols and procedures.
• Willingness to adhere to travel and expense policies.
• Coverage of weekend call (~24 hours) with 4 hours uncompensated.
• Working in a hospital setting with onsite staff, labs, and imaging.
