Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Diagnostic Radiologist with expertise in Nuclear Medicine to provide ED coverage on a remote basis. This position involves overnight and late afternoon shifts, delivering essential services in a high-volume emergency setting. You’ll collaborate with residents, participate in resident teaching, and utilize your clinical skills to provide accurate and timely diagnoses. Required Skills
  • Valid medical license and current certification in Diagnostic Radiology / Nuclear Medicine
  • Experience in Emergency Department imaging interpretation
  • Ability to handle 80-130 cases per 8-hour shift efficiently
  • Proficiency in interpreting a wide range of radiological studies
  • Strong communication skills for effective teaching and collaboration
  • Ability to submit and review case logs as required
  • Ability to obtain or hold a DEA waiver (DEA not necessarily required for remote work)
  • Must have a clean malpractice record
  • Readiness to work overnight shifts (11 p.m. – 7 a.m. EST) and occasional 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. shifts

Nice to Have Skills
  • Prior experience teaching radiology residents and medical trainees
  • Familiarity with hospital EMR systems and PACS technology
  • Additional certifications in advanced imaging techniques
  • Willingness to provide coverage 1-3 weeks per month

Preferred Education and Experience
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Board-certified or eligible in Diagnostic Radiology / Nuclear Medicine
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical radiology experience, preferably including ED coverage
  • Experience with remote radiology practices is advantageous

Other Requirements
  • Submission of recent NPDB report (pulled within the last 30 days)
  • Submission of detailed case logs with applications
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including overnight shifts
  • Position paid at an hourly rate of $1.00
  • Ability to handle travel and licensure reimbursements as applicable
