Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified Board-Certified Hematology and Oncology physician to cover a full-time, hospital-based practice. The provider will manage a diverse patient panel, administer treatments, and coordinate care in a fast-paced clinical setting. This role offers a blend of clinic duties, patient triage, and infusion management, all within a supportive team dedicated to delivering top-tier healthcare. Required Skills:
- Active Oregon medical license and DEA registration
- Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Prior experience in medical oncology and infusion therapy
- Ability to manage patient panels, including new and established patients
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
- Ability to respond swiftly to urgent situations during treatments
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with chemotherapy order signing
- Familiarity with hospital privileges and protocols
- Previous experience in a teaching or multi-disciplinary team setting
- Skills in patient triage and remote consultation
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in Hematology and Oncology
- Experience with outpatient infusion therapies and care coordination
Other Requirements:
- Must hold a current Oregon medical license and DEA registration
- Travel or lodging reimbursements applicable if required
- Provider will field calls and assist with reactions during infusion treatments, managing urgent cases with supervision from the rapid response team
