Memory Disorder / Dementia Specialist

Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute announces a search for a BC/BE Behavioral/Geriatric Neurologist, Geriatric Psychiatrist with advanced training and experience in diagnosis and management of memory loss, Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD). This position is for the Cleveland Clinic Center for Brain Health in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Cleveland Clinic Center for Brain Health is directed by Dr. Jagan Pillai MD, PhD. The Center has locations in Cleveland, Ohio and Las Vegas, Nevada. The center provides diagnosis and ongoing treatment for patients with cognitive disorders and support services for family members who care for them. We advocate a patient-focused, multidisciplinary approach for the diagnosis and treatment of cognitive disorders.

The Cleveland site of the Center for Brain Health is one of the largest cognitive disorders programs in the country with over 2,500 new patient visits and 8,000 follow up patient visits annually. Center also hosts the NIA supported Cleveland Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (CADRC), Center of Excellence for Dementia with Lewy Bodies and has an annual research budget of over $6 Million funded by the NIH, DoD and Foundation research awards and industry studies. Its current faculty includes 4 board certified behavioral neurologists, 2 geriatric psychiatrists, 2 geriatricians, 3 neuropsychologists and 9 advanced practice providers, and additional caregiver staff.

We encourage collaboration across all care providers, delivering a continuum of care, and integrate research and education at every level. The program offers onsite advanced imaging capabilities (3T, 7T MRI) and supportive clinical services such as rehabilitation and social work.

The individual will interact with both physicians and scientists who provide clinical care, develop experimental therapies, and perform innovative research for patients with AD/ADRD.  The research program allows for opportunities to participate in clinical trials and both basic and translational research.

The salary range for this position is $256,000 – $383,000 commensurate with experience, training, licensure, clinical productivity, in-patient coverage and academic accomplishments. As such, compensation offers are individualized and based on a comprehensive review of each candidate’s qualifications and anticipated role within the program The position may be ideal for physicians who have graduated from fellowships within the past ten years.

The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic’s comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.
