Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Valid state medical license for Texas
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related fields
• Experience in general medicine, outpatient care, or similar clinical settings
• Ability to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of medical record documentation and reporting

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience working with Veterans or military-related health assessments
• Familiarity with VA protocols or medical-legal evaluations
• Additional certifications in related specialties or procedures
• Proficiency in telemedicine platforms or electronic health records

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Minimum of 2 years post-residency clinical experience
• Prior experience in outpatient or primary care environments involving assessments and examinations

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work as a locum provider within Houston, TX, with own office or local availability for per diem work
• Willingness to travel or perform assessments as required
• Compliance with all licensing, certification, and credentialing processes
• Must be within 50 miles of Houston for certain roles or locations
• No prescribing or treatment duties required; assessments focus on interviews and physical examinations
• Successful completion of required training and documentation standards
