Join Our Team as a Locum Neonatologist in Southfield, MI

Elevate your medical career by providing expert neonatal care in a dynamic, Level 3 NICU environment. We are seeking dedicated fellowship-trained Neonatologists to fill an in-house coverage role from March 24, 2026, through December 31, 2026, offering an impactful opportunity to make a difference in neonatal health.

This critical position involves 4-6 night shifts per month, from 7 pm to 7 am, with responsibilities including attending C-sections and transferring neonates. As a key member of a well-established team of 3 full-time, 2 part-time, and 4 contingent neonatologists, you'll deliver top-tier care in a fast-paced setting. The NICU handles an average of 0-4 admissions daily, with approximately 12 patients per day in-house, supported by comprehensive electronic medical records (Cerner/Ecare/PowerChart).

Key skills and qualifications include board certification or eligibility in Neonatology (BC or truly BE), fellowship training, and current certification in BLS, NRP. Candidates must have a Michigan medical license in hand; we cannot accept those requiring licensing at this time. The position also requires attendance at C-sections and neonatal transfers.

Preferred candidates will have prior NICU experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Additional qualifications that are advantageous include advanced neonatal procedures and experience with Level 3 NICUs.
