US Digestive Health (USDH), one of the largest GI specialty groups in the nation, is currently seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our private, physician-led practices in Altoona, Carlisle and Uniontown, Pennsylvania as we grow. For Gastroenterologists seeking life-changing work-life balance or earning potential, our private practices in Central and Western Pennsylvania offer the following opportunities:
Uniontown, PA:
- 13 weeks off starting in Year Two.
- Partners earn up to $600k.
- Live in Pittsburgh – any community on the east side of Pittsburgh is a viable choice for commuting.

It’s a collegial, supportive environment with strong referrals, community goodwill, and a steady patient flow. The practice follows a true equal partnership model, not “eat what you kill. Set in the scenic Lower Highlands, the area is safe, family-friendly, and affordable, with great schools and outdoor activities. Just 20 miles from Morgantown, WV and under an hour from Pittsburgh, it offers small-town charm with easy access to city life.
Altoona, PA:
- Phenomenal compensation package! Up to $1M for partners.
- What’s great about working and living here? The practice is very well run and incredibly efficient, which creates great work-life balance. Fantastic neighborhoods in which to live. Very low cost of living and crime, great public/private schools for all age groups. Great place to raise a family. Beautiful and clean, with access to tons of nearby outdoor activities. Also, surprisingly short drives to Pittsburgh and even Washington, D.C. Blue Knob All Seasons Resort about 20 minutes away (fantastic skiing!).
- Exceptional culture: Atmosphere of enthusiasm. Family oriented. Very supportive of staff; keeping them happy is a top priority. Doctors stay on schedule because of great staff.
- Time off: 5 weeks as an Associate, 7 weeks as partner, increasing over time to a maximum of 12 weeks’ vacation.
Carlisle, PA
- At the moment this is a 100 percent outpatient group.
- $575,000 for one year with no call, followed by option for partnership at end of Year One.
- 4.5-day work week.
- What’s great about working and living here? This four-physician practice is nestled in the wonderful, safe community of Carlisle, offering a perfect blend of outdoor activities and charming shops. As a vibrant college town, it’s home to Dickinson College and Penn State Dickinson Law School. Enjoy the convenience of being a short drive from Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Lancaster. Plus, Hershey – the sweetest place on Earth – is just 40 minutes away!
- Six weeks’ vacation plus eight holidays.
- Brand new four-room Endoscopy Center.
- Dedicated support staff, including five APPs.
Standard at all our practices:
- Fellows will receive a $2,000 monthly stipend while they complete training.
