Job Description

Radiation Oncology Physician

About this role: 

As a Radiation Oncology Physician, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.   

  • You will practice at Montrose Regional Hospital – San Juan Cancer Center  

  • Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm, 4 days onsite in clinic and 1 administrative day. 

  • Call is 1:4 weeks 

  • Great team dynamic! Stable, well-staffed clinic with 1:1 RN support, 3 radiation therapists, full-time physics and dosimetry onsite. 

  • Montrose uses Varian hardware and software. TrueBeam LINAC, Eclipse treatment planning system and Mosaiq EMR/R&V system.   

  • Established relationships with our community partners: medical oncologists, general surgeons, pulmonology, and urology. Regular community tumor boards with robust multidisciplinary participation.  

  • Excellent opportunity for mentorship: 3 radiation oncology colleagues at sister hospital, St. Mary’s in Grand Junction with shared chart rounds.  

  • Potential leadership roles: option for medical directorship and other hospital leadership.  

 

 What we provide:  

  • Competitive Compensation: $595,000 plus the potential to earn more with a production incentive.? 

  • Incentives: $30,000 starting bonus, up to $20,000 relocation bonus (if applicable)?and student loan assistance of $75,000.00 (if applicable).

What you’ll bring: 

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine 

  • ACGME Residency or Fellowship training in Radiation Oncology  

  • Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline 

  • Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one 

  • Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one 

  • A minimum of 1 year of Radiation Oncology experience preferred   

  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
