Qualifications:

  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Medical License (Required).
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Experience: Significant experience in interventional radiography, including catheterization procedures within sterile environments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with CT, nuclear medicine, diagnostic radiology, and interventional techniques. Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, excellent communication with referring physicians and staff, and commitment to aseptic technique and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full range of interventional radiology procedures, including catheterizations and image-guided interventions.
  • Utilize medical imaging techniques such as CT, nuclear medicine, and diagnostic radiology to guide procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to sterile environment protocols and aseptic techniques.
  • Interpret imaging studies and provide diagnostic reports.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to determine appropriate interventional approaches.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in interventional radiology techniques.
