Qualifications:
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure: Active New York State Medical License (Required).
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Experience: Significant experience in interventional radiography, including catheterization procedures within sterile environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with CT, nuclear medicine, diagnostic radiology, and interventional techniques. Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, excellent communication with referring physicians and staff, and commitment to aseptic technique and patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a full range of interventional radiology procedures, including catheterizations and image-guided interventions.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques such as CT, nuclear medicine, and diagnostic radiology to guide procedures.
- Adhere strictly to sterile environment protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Interpret imaging studies and provide diagnostic reports.
- Collaborate with referring physicians to determine appropriate interventional approaches.
- Ensure accurate documentation and familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in interventional radiology techniques.
