Job Description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Family Medicine Physician, you will join Dignity Health Medical Group – Bakersfield, a thriving multispecialty group within Dignity Health Medical Foundation, in Bakersfield, California. You will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate, patient-centered care within a close-knit and collaborative team environment.

 

You will enjoy a pure outpatient focus, concentrating on patient care during business hours with robust support and no nights, weekends, or holidays. Your involvement in a light, shared phone call schedule will ensure an exceptional work-life balance. You'll also have the opportunity to precept medical students, contributing to the next generation of physicians, all within a stable and resource-rich environment supported by one of California's largest health systems.

 

To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate and skilled full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine Physician seeking a fulfilling practice that values your expertise. You will thrive with expert mentorship, robust clinical support including efficient RN triage and an internal pharmacy, and dedicated practice growth support from our marketing team.

 

We are offering an exceptional rewards package including a guaranteed salary of $275,000–$300,000 for your first two years, a signing bonus of up to $125,000 (subject to adjustment if student loan assistance is utilized), and student loan assistance of up to $100,000. You will also receive relocation assistance, a residency stipend, comprehensive health & wellness benefits for you and your family, a retirement plan with generous employer matching, and up to 8 weeks of generous paid time off annually.


Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine
  • Active or eligible license in the state of California
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
