Psychologist - Child Study Study - Behavioral & Developmental Pediatrics

Pediatric Behavioral Health OP

The licensed psychologist (or license-eligible psychologist) in the State of Oklahoma will provide care as part of our growing healthcare system and will be an essential part of the interdisciplinary team at OU Health by providing assessment, treatment, and consultation for individuals with behavioral health needs that may be associated with their health conditions.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality behavioral health services to patients with a variety of psychological and medical conditions within the OU Health system
  • Provide consultation to other healthcare professionals regarding the psychological aspects of a patient’s mental health condition, medical condition, or hospitalization.
  • Attend and collaborate with other healthcare professionals in team rounds, didactics, and meetings
  • Provide supervision to psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral residents
  • May participate in a variety of academic opportunities, including clinical research and education of trainees in psychology and other medical disciplines

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:  PhD or PsyD in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program is required.

Experience:

  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship is required
  • 2 years of experience, includes training, required.
  • Specialized training in psychology, including a postdoctoral residency/fellowship and experience working on an interdisciplinary team in an integrated healthcare setting preferred.

 

License/Certification/Registration:  Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Oklahoma required. 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Be eligible for faculty appointment at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
  • Have knowledge of evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation. 
  • Have an interest in training/supervision of trainees in psychology and other disciplines.
  • Have experience in research, program development, and/or quality improvement.
