Locum - Physician - Radiology The Villages, FL

Join our team as a Locum Physician - Radiology at The Villages, FL, and contribute to exceptional patient care through flexible and rewarding radiology services. This vital role offers the opportunity to utilize advanced imaging modalities—including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray—in a dynamic, remote setting. As a key member of our radiology team, you will play a crucial role in interpreting complex cases, including MRI spine and CT perfusion, ensuring accurate diagnosis and optimal patient outcomes.

This position provides a competitive hourly pay rate of $19.50, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), and a generous referral bonus program. You'll be supported by a dedicated 24/7 team committed to your success throughout your assignment. The role involves working 7 days on and 7 days off, with expected daily volumes of 90-100 studies and workflow targets of 60-70 wRVUs per shift. Compensation includes a bill rate of $300 per hour for up to 8 hours (up to 33 wRVUs), with an additional $45 per extra wRVU beyond 33.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid medical license to practice radiology
• Board certification or eligibility in Radiology
• Proficiency in interpreting CT perfusion and MRI spine images
• Experience with XR, CT, MRI, US modalities
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Strong diagnostic and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills:

• Subspecialty expertise in MSK, Mammography, or Neuro imaging
• Prior experience in a locum or remote radiology position
• Familiarity with work RVUs and billing practices

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• At least 3 years of post-residency radiology experience
• Prior experience reading MRI spine and CT perfusion studies

Other Requirements:

• Current state medical license and board certification
• Ability to read and interpret complex imaging studies remotely
• Willingness to work 7on/7off schedule
• Must include malpractice coverage in compensation package
• Travel reimbursement and licensure/certification expenses covered when applicable
