Movement Disorder Neurologist

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group.  Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.  We are seeking an experienced Movement Disorder Neurologist to join our organization.

Position Highlights –

  • We are seeking a Movement Disorder Neurologist to join our growing neurology practice in Springfield, MA. This well-established ambulatory practice includes 10 neurologists and 5 APPs. We offer a flexible schedule and a growing telemedicine program.
  • Opportunity to practice Movement Disorders along with another Movement Disorder physician and APP.
  • Join a growing deep brain stimulation program partnering with our functional neurosurgeon.
  • Rotational Call for general neurology consults only (no stroke).
  • The Baystate Neuroscience service line consists of 70 providers in general neurology, stroke, neurosurgery and physiatry.
  • Qualified candidates should also inquire about leadership opportunities within a planned Neurology residency program including program director.
  • Our robust neurodiagnostic program comprised of EEG, EMG, Sleep lab, and our rehab team help support the work of our neurologists.
  • Combination of clinical care and resident, fellow, and medical teaching with faculty appointment at University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School.

 

Qualifications: ABMS BE/BC Fellowship trained in Movement Disorder Neurology. A strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality and lifelong learning is essential for success.

 

The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range.  Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.  Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

 

Neurology: $240,000 - $390,000
