The Northport VA Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated full-time Non-Invasive Cardiologist (M.D. or D.O.), Board Eligible or Board Certified, to join our growing Cardiology team. This is an exceptional opportunity to serve our nation’s Veterans while practicing high quality, evidence based cardiovascular medicine in a collaborative, mission driven environment.
The Cardiologist will oversee and deliver comprehensive cardiac care to referred patients within the Northport VA Medical Center. Responsibilities include:
Providing daily ambulatory and outpatient Cardiology clinic services
EKG and arrhythmia monitoring interpretation
Transthoracic echocardiography
Exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiography
Consulting, managing, and educating Veterans on preventive and therapeutic cardiac care
Applying evidence?based practices for a wide range of cardiac conditions
Supervising and interpreting outpatient cardiac diagnostic procedures
Collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams and offering telephone/curbside consultations
Reviewing and screening consultative and procedural requests for appropriateness

Residency: Completion of an accredited residency program leading to board eligibility
