Hospitalist Needed

Baptist Health Medical Center- Hot Spring County (BHMC-HSC) is recruiting a hospitalist to join an existing hospitalist program. The program provides care to general medical and surgical patients in this 72-bed community hospital. BHMC-HSC is one of 14 hospitals in the Baptist Health System, which is the largest healthcare provider in the state of Arkansas.
The ideal candidate will be either a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a Med/Peds physician. This position is available in September of 2026.
Arkansas Health Group, a subsidiary of Baptist Health, employs the position. The schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off. The shifts require a combination of on-site coverage as well as after hours call. There is an average of 15-20 patient encounters per shift. Additionally, all psychiatric patients receive a medical consult to manage any medical needs, for which the hospitalists will receive additional compensation.
There is a base salary with a competitive benefits package for a three-year contract. There is also an opportunity to earn incentive compensation based on patient satisfaction, quality, RVU’s, and medical staff committee involvement.
Malvern is located 45 miles southwest of Little Rock. This city of 11,000 is located in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains and is well known for its man-made lakes: Catherine and DeGray. There are many opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of the area through hiking, boating, fishing, waterskiing, kayaking and canoeing.

Baptist Health Medical Center-Hot Spring County is a 72-bed community hospital with a long tradition of providing great patient care since it opened in 1923. The nationally recognized, faith-based hospital joined Baptist Health in January 2014.
The hospital’s Emergency Department is a Level IV trauma center, which means it has demonstrated the ability to provide advanced trauma life support (ATLS) prior to the transfer of patients to a higher-level trauma center. The staff is able to provide evaluation, stabilization and diagnostic capabilities for injured patients.
Malvern with a population of around 11,000, is located at the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. With three great lakes located within 20 minutes (Lakes Catherine, Hamilton, and Ouachita) of Malvern, it makes for a great opportunity to water ski, fish, camp, and hike. Malvern is also known as the “Brick Capital of the World” due to the local industry supported by the nearby deposits of clay.
